Is UPI available for NRI?

Yes, UPI is available for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs). NRIs can link their Non-Resident External (NRE) or Non-Resident Ordinary (NRO) bank accounts in India to UPI. This can be done using an Indian mobile number or, following a January 2023 initiative by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), an international mobile number from selected countries, provided the number is linked to the NRE/NRO account.
