How to create a UPI account without a debit card?

You can create a UPI account without a debit card by using Aadhaar-based authentication. This facility, introduced by NPCI, allows you to set your UPI PIN using your Aadhaar details. To set up your account, follow these steps:

• Ensure your mobile number is linked to both your bank account and Aadhaar.
• Open your UPI app and select the option to add a bank account.
• Choose Aadhaar-based verification instead of a debit card.
• Enter the first six digits of your Aadhaar number.
• Validate using the OTPs received from UIDAI and your bank to set your UPI PIN.
