Once a UPI transaction is successfully initiated and the PIN is entered, it cannot be cancelled or stopped because the transfer happens in real time. However, you can manage different scenarios as follows:
- For successful wrong transactions: Contact the recipient immediately to request a refund or reach out to your bank to raise a dispute.
- For pending transactions: These cannot be manually cancelled; they will either succeed or fail. If they fail after a debit, the amount is typically auto-reversed within T+1 to T+5 days as per NPCI guidelines.
- For UPI AutoPay: You can cancel future scheduled payments via the "Automatic Payments" section in your app settings.
