How long does it take to get a refund from an UPI failed transaction?

Refunds for most failed UPI transactions are often processed instantly by the bank, or automatically reversed within 1 hour. According to the RBI guidelines, if a failed transaction results in a debit from your account, the funds should be credited back within 48 hours (T+1 day). If the reversal is delayed beyond one working day for a failed UPI credit push transaction, the customer is entitled to compensation. If a refund is delayed, raise a complaint via your UPI application or contact your bank.
