How long does NPCI take to resolve complaints?

The resolution time for UPI complaints handled through NPCI follows a structured, multi-level mechanism. Generally, the process begins at the App level (3–5 working days), escalates to the PSP Bank (additional 3–5 days), and may involve NPCI's final review (7–10 working days, or an additional 3–5 days after the bank level). If an issue remains unresolved within 30 days, it can be escalated to the RBI's banking ombudsman.
