The general steps for an online application include:
- Visit the chosen portal and select the 'New PAN - Indian Citizen (Form 49A)' option.
- Fill out the application form and provide your personal details.
- Submit the required documents (Proof of Identity, Address, and Date of Birth).
- Pay the application fee and complete Aadhaar-based e-KYC/e-Sign or submit physical documents.
Individuals with an Aadhaar-linked mobile number can also apply for an Instant e-PAN through the Income Tax e-Filing Portal.
