Where is cheque number

The cheque number is a unique 6-digit identifier found on every cheque leaf. You can locate it in the following places:
  • Bottom Left Corner: It is the first set of six digits printed in magnetic ink at the bottom of the cheque leaf, preceding the 9-digit MICR code.
  • Top Right Corner: Many banks also print the cheque number in the upper right-hand area for quick reference.
  • Cheque Book Stub: The record slip at the beginning or side of your cheque book also lists these numbers for tracking purposes.
