How to write self cheque

To write a self-cheque for withdrawing cash or transferring funds between your own accounts, follow these steps:
  • Enter the current date in the top-right corner in DD/MM/YYYY format.
  • Write the word "Self" in the "Pay" section to indicate you are the recipient.
  • Mention the amount clearly in both words and figures (e.g., ₹5,000/-).
  • Sign the cheque at the bottom right, matching your bank records.
  • For cash withdrawal, leave the cheque uncrossed. For account-to-account transfers, cross it and write "A/C Payee."
