How to fill cheque for transfer money

To fill out a cheque for transferring money in India, follow these steps:

• Write the date in the DD/MM/YYYY format in the top right corner.
• In the Pay line, write the name of the person or entity receiving the funds. For a self-transfer between your own accounts, write Self.
• Specify the amount in words in the Rupees line, ending with the word Only.
• Enter the numerical amount in the box provided, using the /- symbol after the digits.
• Sign the cheque clearly at the bottom right, above the Account Payee name.
• To ensure a safe transfer, draw two parallel lines on the top left corner and write Account Payee.
