How to cheque fill up

To fill up a cheque correctly in India, follow these essential steps:

• Date: Enter the date in the DD/MM/YYYY format in the top-right corner.
• Payee: Write the name of the person or organization next to Pay. For security, draw two parallel lines with A/c Payee on the top left.
• Amount in Words: Write the amount in words ending with only.
• Amount in Figures: Enter the numerical value in the box provided, using the /- symbol.
• Signature: Sign clearly above the Authorized Signatory area as per bank records.
