How to fill cheque book

To fill out a cheque book correctly in India, follow these steps:

• Write the current date in the DD/MM/YYYY format in the top-right box.
• Next to Pay, enter the recipient's name or Self for personal cash withdrawal.
• Write the amount in words in the Rupees line, ending with the word Only.
• Enter the numeric amount in the box provided, using the /- symbol after the value.
• Sign clearly above the authorized signatory space, ensuring it matches your bank records.
• To ensure the amount is credited only to a bank account, draw two parallel lines on the top-left corner and write A/c Payee.
