How to fill cheque

To fill out a cheque correctly in India, follow these essential steps:

• Date: Enter the date in the DD/MM/YYYY format in the top right corner.
• Payee: Write the name of the person or entity after "Pay."
• Amount in Words: Write the amount in words followed by "Only."
• Amount in Figures: Enter the numerical value in the box provided, using the /- symbol after the amount.
• Signature: Sign clearly in the bottom right corner as per your bank records.
• Crossing: Draw two parallel lines on the top left to ensure an account-only transfer.
