How to fill cancel cheque

To fill or create a cancelled cheque, follow these steps:

• Take a fresh, unused cheque leaf from your chequebook.
• Draw two parallel diagonal lines across the face of the cheque using blue or black ink.
• Write the word CANCELLED in capital letters between these two parallel lines.
• Do not sign the cheque or fill in any other details like the date, payee name, or amount.
• Ensure the lines do not obscure vital information such as the account number, IFSC code, or MICR code.
