During our latest social media live stream, held on Monday, April 22, 2024, our Founder and CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma, along with Ripunjai Gaur, Chief Business Officer of Offline Payments, introduced two new and improved Paytm Soundboxes.
Besides, merchants from bustling cities like Mumbai, Pune, Haridwar, Noida, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Gurgaon, among others, joined the live event, shared their experiences and voiced their trust in us and our devices. Our made-in-India devices are waterproof, equipped with 4G network connectivity, offer instant audio confirmation, and boast 10-days of battery life.
Emphasising the exceptional quality of our Soundbox, our Founder & CEO mentioned, “We realised early on that Soundbox manufacturing should take place in India for a long-lasting battery. Our focus was on instant notifications. The combined power of both software and hardware is absolutely lethal.”
Speaking of our facility capable of manufacturing 10,000 Soundboxes a day, he further said that our innovative devices undergo full quality control at the factory level. We maintain in-house labs for frequent battery checks and noise and temperature settings, ensuring our merchants encounter no issues. Our Soundboxes are Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certified.
During the event, merchants praised our devices and technology, reaffirming our position as a trusted partner in the journey towards a cashless, digitally empowered society.
While Rashmi, one of the merchants from Pune, highlights the device’s voice quality saying they are loud and clear, Raj from Ahmedabad commends its reliability for Paytm UPI and card payments. He expressed gratitude for the prompt assistance from company executives.
Praising our NFC feature in the Soundbox, Prashant from Haridwar mentioned how the ‘Tap & Pay’ functionality enables him to seamlessly accept payments from credit cards through UPI. He expressed his appreciation for our EDC devices, noting their unique ability to facilitate early payment settlements for merchants and their durability, describing them as ‘rough and tough’.
Mohit from Jaipur stated that 90% of online payments at his shop take place through Paytm. “Paytm’s innovative devices can be found everywhere in the city,” he added.
Grateful for a device like Pocket Soundbox, Anand Joshi from Mumbai said, “It is an ideal payment solution for the delivery persons who need to carry it for payment notifications. The Sound clarity and battery life are good.”
