The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has introduced the ‘RuPay On-The-Go’ campaign, aimed at promoting the use of the RuPay National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) as a one-stop payment solution for public transportation across India. The RuPay contactless debit cards, issued by 20 public, private, and cooperative sector banks, can now be used to pay fares on buses and metros nationwide.
