The Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY) portal has officially gone live, enabling employers and job-seekers to register for the ambitious scheme that Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced during his 12th Independence Day address.
The scheme, cleared by the Union Cabinet on July 1, 2025, comes with a massive outlay of ₹99,446 crore and is designed to generate over 3.5 crore jobs in just two years.
Key Highlights of the Scheme
- Duration: Jobs created between 1st August 2025 and 31st July 2027 will be eligible.
- Financial Incentives for Youth (Employees): Up to ₹15,000 in two instalments through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) using Aadhaar-based Payment System (ABPS).
- Support for Employers: Up to ₹3,000 per month per new employee, directly transferred to PAN-linked accounts.
- Targeted Sectors: All sectors covered, with special focus on manufacturing.
- Implementation: Managed by the Ministry of Labour & Employment through the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO).

For first-time employees, generating a Universal Account Number (UAN) is mandatory, which can be done using Face Authentication Technology (FAT) on the UMANG App.
