- KYC Update Deadline: FASTag service providers must update the KYC for all FASTags issued between three to five years ago by October 31, 2024. Customers should ensure their details are up to date to prevent any service disruptions.
- Replacement of Old FASTags: FASTags that are more than five years old need to be replaced. Vehicle owners should check the issue date of their tags and get new ones if necessary.
- Mandatory Vehicle Details: Starting August 1, all FASTags must be linked to the vehicle’s registration number and chassis number. New vehicle owners must update their registration number within 90 days of purchase.
- Provider Requirements: FASTag providers are required to keep their databases accurate and up to date. They must upload clear photos of the vehicle’s front and side and link each FASTag to a mobile number for smooth communication.
