The National e-Governance Division (NeGD), part of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), has reached a major Digital India milestone by connecting almost 2,000 government services to the DigiLocker and e-District platforms. Citizens in all 36 States and Union Territories can now access these services instantly, anytime, from anywhere.

These services include government certificates, welfare schemes, utility payments, and other essential citizen services, making governance more efficient, transparent, and user-friendly. This achievement advances the Digital India mission by promoting paperless systems, mobile accessibility, and inclusive digital services, while also contributing to India’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) was established in 2009 under the Digital India Corporation (a not-for-profit Section 8 company) to support MeitY in programme management, implementation, and advisory services for e-Governance projects.
