BSE Holidays List in 2024
The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) is a major stock exchange in India, listing over 6,000 companies. Established as Asia’s oldest stock exchange, it ranks as the third-largest globally.
Trading on the BSE occurs from 9:15 AM to 3:30 PM on weekdays, with pre-market trading from 9:00 to 9:15 AM. The exchange is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and several national holidays of cultural or religious significance.

NSE Holidays List in 2024
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) is India’s largest and most prominent stock exchange. It ranks as the 10th largest stock exchange globally, with a market capitalization exceeding US$ 3.4 trillion. It operates from 9:15 AM to 3:30 PM on weekdays and is closed for trading on weekends—Saturdays and Sundays. No trading occurs in the equity sector, equity derivatives segment, or the Securities Lending and Borrowing (SLB) segment during these days.

It must be noted that the national stock exchange is open 5 days a week i.e. Monday-Friday and remains closed on all Saturdays and Sundays.
Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) Holidays List 2024
The Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) is the largest commodity exchange in India. Established in 2003, it is regulated by SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India). Initially, MCX focused on trading gold and silver, but it has since expanded to include over 50 different commodities, such as agricultural products, metals, and currencies. MCX operates from 9:00 AM to 11:30 PM during the summer months, and until 11:55 PM in the winter. The trading day is divided into two sessions namely morning sessions from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and evening session from 5:30 PM to 11:30 PM (or 11:55 PM in winter).
