UPI Block

byPaytm Editorial TeamLast Updated: July 16, 2025

Meaning

UPI Block refers to the suspension or restriction of your UPI account or ID. It is usually done to prevent fraud, limit suspicious activity, or at the user’s own request. Once blocked, you cannot send or receive money via UPI.

When It Happens

Banks or UPI apps may initiate a block due to unusual login attempts, incorrect UPI PIN entries, or security threats. In some cases, users may request a temporary block for their own safety. A blocked UPI account remains inactive until unblocked.
