If your money has been deducted by your bank but the recharge has not instantly reflected on your phone or in your Paytm order history, do not panic and do not attempt a second recharge immediately.

What is Happening?

The most common reason for this delay is a momentary technical issue or lag in communication between the bank, Paytm, and the mobile operator.

  • Payment in Process: Your payment has likely been successfully initiated from your end and is currently in transit.

  • Awaiting Confirmation: Paytm is waiting for a final confirmation from your mobile operator that the recharge has been successfully applied to the number.

Quick Action Guide

  • Wait 5-30 Minutes: Most pending recharges succeed within this timeframe. Check your phone for the operator's confirmation SMS.

  • Check Order Status: Look at your Paytm 'Orders' or 'Passbook' to see if the status updates from 'Pending' to 'Successful' or 'Failed'.

  • Do NOT Recharge Again: If the status is 'Pending,' wait. Recharging again risks a duplicate payment if the initial transaction is successful.

  • Automatic Refund: If the transaction fails, Paytm initiates an automatic refund, usually within a few hours, though it may take 3-7 bank working days to reflect in your account.

  • Contact Support: If the status remains 'Pending' for several hours, use your Order ID to raise a query via Paytm's customer support.
