Who is eligible for UPI?

Eligibility for UPI includes Indian residents with a bank account in a UPI-enabled bank and a linked, active mobile number. Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) with NRE/NRO accounts can also register. They can use their international mobile numbers if their bank and the UPI application (such as Paytm) support it, provided the number is linked to their NRE/NRO account. All accounts must be KYC compliant.
