Which UPI app is government?

BHIM (Bharat Interface for Money) is the UPI application developed by the government-owned entity, the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). NPCI is focused on innovations in retail payment systems. BHIM was conceived and launched in 2016 to promote financial inclusion and a digitally empowered society in India, supporting all Indian banks that use the Unified Payments Interface.
