What is UPI and how do I create it?

Unified Payments Interface (UPI) is a real-time payment system developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) that enables instant money transfers between bank accounts through a mobile app. To create a UPI ID:

• Download a UPI-enabled mobile application.
• Verify your mobile number linked to your bank account.
• Select your bank and link your account.
• Set a UPI PIN using your debit card details to authenticate transactions.
• Create a unique Virtual Payment Address (VPA), such as name@bankname.
