What is the UPI limit for 2025?

The general UPI daily transaction limit for 2025 is ₹1 lakh per user. However, the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) raised the limit for select categories to ₹5 lakh per transaction, effective from September 15, 2025. This higher limit applies to transactions such as IPO applications, capital markets, insurance, and tax payments. Banks maintain the discretion to set internal limits within the NPCI's overall ceiling.
