How does UPI get blocked?

A UPI ID may be blocked for security reasons, often initiated by banks or the UPI application to prevent fraud or suspicious activity. Common reasons include entering an incorrect UPI PIN multiple times or unusual login attempts. In some cases, a block can occur due to bank server issues, high payment failure rates, or if the user requests a temporary block for safety. Once blocked, you cannot send or receive money via UPI until the restriction is lifted.
