What is DRC in UPI payment?

DRC in UPI can refer to two concepts. It most commonly stands for Device Registration and Credentialing, a security framework introduced by NPCI. This ensures that transactions are performed only from the mobile device registered with the user's bank account, protecting against unauthorized access. Additionally, DRC can also stand for Debit Reversal Confirmation or Debit Reversal Credit, which indicates a payment was debited from the sender but failed to successfully credit the receiver due to technical issues.
