What are the rules for UPI transaction limits

For most UPI transactions, you can send up to ₹1,00,000 per day. Some special transactions, like those for capital markets or insurance, have a higher limit of ₹2,00,000. For specific categories like tax payments, educational institutions, hospitals, IPOs, and RBI retail direct schemes, the limit can go up to ₹5,00,000. There are usually no extra charges for personal UPI payments.
