How much charges for UPI payment?

Most UPI transactions between individuals (peer-to-peer) and from peer-to-merchant using bank accounts are free of charge. However, transactions over ₹2,000 made through Prepaid Payment Instruments (PPIs) attract an interchange fee (around 1.1%), which merchants pay to the service provider, not the customer. Personal UPI payments remain free.
