According to NPCI guidelines, users are generally permitted a maximum of 20 peer-to-peer (P2P) transactions within a 24-hour window. However, there is no restricted limit on the number of person-to-merchant (P2M) transactions.
While these are the standard NPCI regulations, individual banks may set their own specific daily or hourly limits based on their internal risk policies. Key highlights include:
- A daily transfer limit of ₹1 lakh for regular P2P transactions.
- Enhanced limits up to ₹5 lakh per transaction for specific categories like taxes, hospitals, and educational institutions.
- New cumulative daily limits reaching up to ₹10 lakh for verified high-value merchant categories.
