How is a UPI payment done?

To make a UPI payment, follow these simple steps:

• Open a UPI-enabled mobile application on your smartphone.
• Choose a payment method: scan a merchant QR code, enter the recipient's mobile number, or input their Virtual Payment Address (VPA/UPI ID).
• Enter the amount you wish to transfer.
• Select the linked bank account you want to use for the transaction.
• Enter your unique 4 or 6-digit UPI PIN to authorize and complete the instant fund transfer.

Once successful, both the sender and receiver receive a confirmation notification immediately.
