How do I make my UPI ID?

To create a UPI ID, first download a supporting UPI payment application. After opening the app, link your bank account, which is typically detected using your registered mobile number. You will then be prompted to set up a UPI PIN, often requiring your debit card details for verification. Once this is complete, your bank account is linked via UPI, and you can create or select your unique UPI ID (Virtual Payment Address). For example, on Paytm, you can go to 'UPI & Payment Settings' to choose a preferred UPI handle.
