Can MDR charges be reversed?

MDR (Merchant Discount Rate) is a fee charged to merchants for processing digital transactions, commonly associated with debit/credit card payments. Regarding UPI, the Finance Ministry has officially ruled out any MDR on UPI transactions. Therefore, since no MDR is charged to customers or merchants for accepting or sending money via UPI platforms like Paytm, there are no MDR charges to be reversed in this context.
