Can I use UPI without a SIM card?

Generally, you cannot use UPI without a SIM card inserted in your device. UPI requires an active SIM card linked to your bank account for mandatory SMS verification and device binding to ensure security. However, international travelers can use UPI One World, a prepaid wallet that allows UPI payments using an international number and passport for KYC, without needing an Indian SIM. Additionally, the UPI Circle feature allows a primary user to authorize secondary users to make payments from their account without the secondary user needing a separate bank account or SIM link.
