Can an UPI transaction be reversed?

It is generally not possible to cancel a UPI transaction after entering the PIN. However, an incorrect or failed transaction can potentially be reversed. For failed transactions (account debited but not credited), auto-reversal usually occurs within T+1 day (fund transfers) or T+5 days (merchant payments), according to RBI guidelines. For a wrong transaction, you must quickly contact the recipient, your bank, or use the "Help" or "Dispute" feature on your UPI application to raise a complaint, and then escalate to the NPCI if unresolved.
