Who can open individual bank account

Any individual who is a resident of India can open an individual bank account, provided they meet the bank's eligibility criteria and provide valid Know Your Customer (KYC) documents. The following individuals are generally eligible:
  • Resident Indians: Individuals above 18 years of age can open and operate accounts independently.
  • Minors: Children can have accounts opened on their behalf by a parent or legal guardian.
