Where to sign in cheque

To sign a cheque correctly in India, follow these designated areas:

• Front Side: Sign in the bottom right corner, specifically above the words Authorized Signatory. Ensure your signature matches the one in your bank records and avoid signing over the MICR band at the bottom.
• Back Side: You may need to sign the reverse side when withdrawing cash using a self-cheque or when endorsing the cheque to another individual.

Always use permanent blue or black ink and avoid overwriting to ensure the cheque is processed successfully.
