To open a bank account in India, you must complete the Know Your Customer (KYC) process by submitting the following documents:
- Proof of Identity: Aadhaar card, PAN card, Passport, Voter ID, or Driving License.
- Proof of Address: Aadhaar card, Passport, utility bills (electricity, water, or phone), or a rent agreement.
- Recent passport-sized photographs.
- A duly filled account opening form.
If you do not have a PAN card, you can submit Form 60. Some accounts may also require a minimum initial deposit for activation.
