How to write cheque for rtgs

To write a cheque for an RTGS (Real Time Gross Settlement) transaction in India, follow these steps:
  • Date: Mention the current date in the top right corner in DD/MM/YYYY format.
  • Payee: Write Your Bank Name for RTGS or Your Name/Self for RTGS. For example, HDFC Bank for RTGS.
  • Amount: Mention the transfer amount clearly in both words (ending with Only) and figures.
  • Signature: Sign the cheque at the bottom right as per your bank records.
  • Beneficiary Details: On the back of the cheque, write the beneficiary's name, account number, bank name, and IFSC code.
Submit this cheque along with a duly filled RTGS request form at your bank branch.
