What to write on cheque for rtgs

To write a cheque for an RTGS (Real Time Gross Settlement) transfer, you should follow these steps:
  • In the Payee line, write Your Bank Name followed by A/c RTGS (e.g., HDFC Bank Ltd for RTGS). Alternatively, you can write For Self For RTGS.
  • Mention the date on the top right-hand corner.
  • Write the transfer amount in both figures and words clearly.
  • Sign the cheque at the bottom right as per bank records.
  • On the reverse side of the cheque, mention the beneficiary’s name, account number, and IFSC code for better processing.
