How to unfreeze a bank account

To unfreeze your bank account, you must first identify the reason for the freeze by contacting your bank's customer service or visiting your home branch. Depending on the cause, follow these steps:
  • KYC Update: Submit your latest Aadhaar card, PAN card, and photographs if the freeze is due to outdated records.
  • Inactivity: If the account is dormant, perform a small transaction or submit a written reactivation request.
  • Legal or Tax Issues: Clear any outstanding dues or resolve pending legal disputes to receive a clearance certificate.
Once the required documents are verified, the bank will restore access to your account.
