How to transfer money through cheque

To transfer money using a cheque in India, follow these steps:

• Write the current date in the top-right corner.
• Enter the recipient's name in the Pay field.
• Specify the amount in both words and figures in the designated boxes.
• Sign the cheque at the bottom-right, ensuring it matches your bank records.
• To ensure a safe transfer directly to the recipient's bank account, draw two parallel lines on the top-left corner and write A/c Payee.
• Deposit the filled cheque into the bank's drop box or hand it to a teller with a deposit slip.
