How to pay in a cheque

To pay in a cheque in India, you must visit your bank branch or use a cheque drop box. Follow these steps:

• Fill out a pay-in slip with details including your account number, date, cheque number, bank/branch of the cheque, and the amount in words and figures.
• Cross the cheque by drawing two parallel lines on the top left corner and write Account Payee to ensure it is credited only to your account.
• Sign behind the cheque if required and attach it to the slip.
• Submit it at the counter or drop it in the designated box.
