ATM

who discovered atm

John Shepherd-Barron, an India-born British inventor, is widely credited with inventing the world's first cash dispenser, which became known as the ATM. The first machine, developed by his team at De La Rue, was installed at a Barclays Bank branch in London on June 27, 1967. While Shepherd-Barron's original machine used special coded checks, the PIN-based system fundamental to modern ATMs is largely credited to James Goodfellow.
