Paytm Wallet is no longer fully operational for new transfers, in line with regulatory changes.

Instead, all funds sent and received within the Paytm app now happen directly through your linked bank account via UPI (Unified Payments Interface).

  • Sending Money: Funds are debited directly from your linked bank account.
  • Receiving Money: Funds sent to your UPI ID or mobile number are credited instantly to your linked bank account.

Managing Your Default Account

If you have multiple bank accounts linked and want to control where received money lands, simply set your preferred bank account as your primary one:

  • Go to Settings: Navigate to your Profile and select "UPI & Payment Settings."
  • Set Primary Account: Tap on the bank account you wish to receive money in and choose the "Set as Primary" option.

Any money you receive via your UPI ID on Paytm will now be instantly routed to this designated primary bank account.
