Synopsis

Sicario: Day of the Soldado is the sequel to the 2015 film Sicario. The plot revolves around a deadly tale of a CIA team taking over a drug cartel that is responsible for trafficking Mexican terrorists across the US border. Benicio Del Toro reprises his role as the undercover operative Alejandro Gillick from the previous film. Faced with a new set of challenges, he must assist federal agent Matt Graver (Josh Brolin) in this mission to bring down the lethal cartel. While the first film focused on the militarization of the police, Sicario 2 entirely removes the policing aspect in an intriguing manner.
