Synopsis

After delivering hits like Bajirao Mastani and Ram Leela, the trio of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone is all set to make a hat trick with Padmaavat. To add to the stellar cast, the movie also stars superstar Shahid Kapoor in a pivotal role. The epic takes you back in the time of 1300s where Queen Padmavati (Deepika Padukone) of Chittorgarh was known for her beauty. Infatuated by her, Alauddin Khilji- the Sultan of Delhi (Ranveer Singh) demands her to come with him leaving her husband and the ruler of Mewar, Raja Ratan Singh (Shahid Kapoor).
