The Hindi adaptation of Shakespeare's Othello centers around Omkara, a local gangster, and his trusted lieutenants, Ishwar 'Langda' Tyagi and Keshav 'Kesu' Upadhyay, who serve the influential politician, Tiwari Bhaisaab. Langda, who dreams of becoming Omkara's successor, feels deeply betrayed when Omkara chooses Kesu instead. Fueled by resentment, Langda devises a plot against those who wronged him.
