Nanak Shah Fakir is a biographical film on the life of Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of the Sikh faith. The film is the first on-screen depiction of the saint’s complete journey of spreading the message of “Ik Onkar” (There is only one God!). Set in 14th and 15th century India, the film makes use of authentic music of the era. There is no real portrayal of Guru Nanak Dev in the entire movie. Instead, the saint is depicted with the help of computer graphics, drenched in light. Together, it all lends an ethereal feel to the story.
