Synopsis

The widely acclaimed war-epic Dunkirk is the first historical film by Oscar-nominated director Christopher Nolan. It is based on the famous evacuation of the French city Dunkirk during World War II. The movie depicts the evacuation from all three perspectives of land, water and air. Nolan’s first Oscar nomination for direction, Dunkirk has received awards for Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing and Best Film Editing at the 90th Academy Awards and for Best Sound at the 71st British Academy Film Awards. It has also received widespread applause for the brilliant use of cinematography and music in creating suspense. Originally released in July 2017, Dunkirk is now ready for its first IMAX screening in India on March 31. The film will be showcased in its original format at the only commercially available IMAX 70mm film venue, Carnival Cinemas IMAX Wadala. The grandiose of this movie experience will be made unforgettable by Nolan himself who is visiting Mumbai especially for the screening.
